The pandemic year of 2020 wasn’t too bad for Montreal-based blues singer/songwriter Dawn Tyler Watson.
She was nominated, along with Mavis Staples and Curtis Salgado, for the 2020 Blues Music Award for Vocalist of the Year. Her latest album, “Mad Love,” won Canada’s 2020 JUNO Award for Blues Album of the Year.
She recently won two of Canada’s Maple Blues awards, for Songwriter of the Year and Best Album/Producer.
Since 2017, when she won the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn., her star has been on the rise.
Now she’s back on the road, bringing her fiery, soul-stirring performances to live stages.
